How fresh is it?
Pastries are baked from 6:30 am and loaves from 7:10 am, then again through the day. Batches are small; when a batch is gone, we say so. Cakes are baked to order.
What’s your lead time for cakes?
Signature cakes need 2–3 days; custom cakes need 5. Order by 6 pm the day before for anything from the daily shelf.
How should I store bread?
In its paper bag, cut side down, for up to three days. Freeze sliced loaves for up to three months. Re-crisp for 8 minutes at 375°F.
Pickup or delivery?
Pickup is free. Local delivery is $6, free over $60, within five miles of Hill Street.
Can I change or cancel an order?
Yes, until 6 pm the day before. Call us and we’ll adjust it. For custom cakes, the deposit is refundable up to seven days before.
Do you ship?
Not yet. We deliver locally and hand-wrap for gifting. Our gift boxes can be sent to any address within our delivery circle.
What if something isn’t right?
Tell us within a day. We’ll bake it again or refund it — no fuss.
Do you have gluten-free or vegan options?
Several breads are vegan. The chocolate torta is flour-free, but it’s baked in a kitchen with wheat, so it isn’t suitable for coeliac disease.

● contains · – does not contain. We are not an allergen-free bakery. Everything is made in one kitchen that handles wheat, rye, milk, eggs, tree nuts, soy and sesame; cross-contact can occur. If you have a severe allergy, call us first.
